Senior Geotechnical Engineer
About the job
Soil & Rock Consultants are currently looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, to provide additional technical leadership within our growing Auckland team. This is great opportunity for an experienced engineer to take the next step-up in their career.
You will have a strong technical background and be able to apply this knowledge to projects in a practical way that creates cost effective solutions for your clients. At Soil & Rock, we pride ourselves on being innovative and creating sustainable solutions that minimise the environmental impact of our clients’ developments.
You will work alongside a large team of professional Engineers and Geologists, keen to learn from your expertise on-the-job. Day-to-day you will be providing technical guidance and overseeing project delivery, conducting technical reviews, issuing proposals and tender documentation. You will continue to develop your commercial acumen on the job, with support from the Technical Director. This role offers great autonomy within a supportive professional environment.

Role Requirements
Bachelor or Masters’ Degree in Engineering or equivalent
8+ years relevant experience, ideally within a consultancy environment
Demonstrable experience with foundation, slope stabilisation and retaining wall designs, associated software and commercially available product
Experience with brown and green field land development
Expertise with local and national construction legislation and regulations
